One of the great benefits of Chronic Pain Tracker is its ability to facilitate improved communication between you and your doctor. But how do you get your pain information to your doctor?
It’s easy! First, your doctor does NOT need to have his own iPhone or any special software in order to view the pain reports you see within Pain Tracker. What you need to do is decide which Pain Reports you want to provide to the doctor. For example, if you wanted to provide the last 4 weeks of weekly pain data, you would go to the Past 7 day Report view in Chronic Pain Tracker.
This shows the aggregation of the last 7 days worth of data. If you slide the report to the left, you’ll see the previous 7 days worth of data. Slide again and you’ll see the 7 days before that, and so on.
For each report you want to send, snap a screen shot of the report. This will add a picture of the report (jpeg format) in you Photo Camera Roll area of your iPhone. You can then email those images to your doctor OR you can combine the photos into your own report format to provide to the doctor.
Your doctor will be able to view the images on their computer, smart phone, or other device. Because the images are a standard jpeg format, there should be no compatibility issues.
You can also feel comfortable providing these images since they are only an aggregation of your pain entry data and not the individual entries themselves, so you can maintain a degree of privacy with respect to your entries.
