What is a Crash Report and should I send it to the Developers?

Bug Report OptionsChronic Pain Tracker versions 2.5 and above include an integrated Crash Reporting system. Although we hope you never have to experience this feature, if you do encounter an application crash, please help us by sending in the Crash Report.

Here's how it works. If you experience an application crash, the Crash Reporter will gather the details of the app at the moment things went haywire. The next time you start the application, a small dialog will open asking if you want to send the report to the development team. You also have the option to \"Always\" send the report which means that if you have a crash in the future, the crash report will be sent directly to us without you needing to do anything.

For those of you concerned about privacy, by default the crash reports do not include any personally identifiable information. They also do not contain any data from Chronic Pain Tracker. It simply shows us what was going on at the moment the crash occurred.

However, we do include the option for you to add your name and email address to the crash report. In cases where we need to get more information about a certain crash, having this information can be quite helpful for us. Again, this is not required, but if you're willing to help, we'd appreciate it.

To add your contact information to the Crash Report system, you need to exit Chronic Pain Tracker and go to your Settings icon. Scroll down and open the Chronic Pain Tracker preferences. Almost at the very bottom you'll see Bug Report Options. Tap on this and the screen shown to the right should be displayed.

Please keep in mind that we will only contact you if additional details are required. If you don't hear from us, don't worry, we analyze every report that comes in and then incorporate fixes as needed for the next version.
